There's two sides to everything.

I think nurture and nature have equal effects on making us who we are. We are only born with a few innate abilities, and without nurture we wouldnt gain the skills needed to survive. Without nature we wouldn't survive at all. In my own experience nurture has had the upper hand. I've had to experience things for myself to know the negative drawbacks of the thing itself even if someone told me it was wrong or right. I feel as though nurture has more of a play in life because you arent born knowing what is wrong and what is right, that is a product of your environment. Scientists probably argue nature verses nurture because there are so many arguments that point toward both sides. Scientists believe, now, that nature and nurture both play small parts in the making of us. Nature, because we have certain genes that affect the way we are and they way we do things. Nurture, because our environment also plays a role in how we are raised and the decisions that we make.

According to the Article that i have read, certain scientist believe that it is simplistic to say that sprinters are influenced purely on nature or nurture, but a lot of scientists are leaning toward the nature argument. People have turned to this question of genes versus environment because places like west Africa and Jamaica consistently produce top sprinters, and places like Europe can barely make the parr. It is scientifically proven that people with less than 80 percent fast twitch fibers than you are unlikely to run as fast as Usain Bolt, the Olympic gold medalist from Jamaica. If you have 80 percent or higher, you are have the innate ability to run fast, but that doesn't mean you will, and that's where nurture comes in. Here nurture, your environment, trains you to be a sprinter. Some scientist believe that because sprinting is revered in places like Jamaica and Africa they just train their sprinters harder than their other athletes. This proves nothing scientifically. Even though Nature has more of an effect on running than that of nurture, nurture also plays a role in sprinters.
